Regenexx®-SD
Regenexx-SD is not a single BMC injection, but a personalized protocol involving multiple treatment sessions spread over one week. A preparatory injection is followed by the collection, processing, and image-guided injection of autologous bone marrow concentrate. Afterward, Regenexx SCP supports the treated area.

What is the Regenexx-SD process?
Regenexx-SD consists of several consecutive treatment sessions, typically spread over one week. The exact schedule is tailored to the condition and the structures being treated.
- First treatment session — preparatory injection with a hypertonic dextrose solution to prime the treated area.
- Second treatment session — image-guided bone marrow aspiration from the back of the pelvis. The aspirate is processed into bone marrow concentrate and precisely injected the same day, optionally under light sedation.
- Third treatment session — blood draw and processing into Regenexx SCP, followed by an image-guided injection to support the bone marrow concentrate.
- Post-protocol — personal instructions and a phased rehabilitation program with medical follow-up.

Is Regenexx the same as a standard PRP treatment?
No. Regenexx SCP uses specific processing protocols and higher, customizable platelet concentrations. The evaluation, image guidance, and structured follow-up are also integral parts of the approach.
Can a Regenexx treatment help avoid surgery?
For selected patients, an orthobiologic treatment can be a non-surgical option. However, we cannot guarantee results, and in some situations, surgery remains the most appropriate treatment.
How soon can I resume my activities?
This depends on the structure being treated, the chosen procedure, and your initial condition. You will receive a personalized rehabilitation schedule with a gradual progression.
Is the treatment covered by insurance?
